For the love of letters.

A Letter A Day Project

To view my own letter writing work, follow me at @handmadeletters on Instagram. In October 2014, I set out to write a letter everyday until the end of 2015. What started out as casual calligraphy practice soon evolved into a personal art project. It was an opportunity for me to push the boundaries of my creativity, using the envelope as a canvas. More importantly, it served as a means for me to reconnect with long-lost family and friends and to connect with so many wonderful calligraphers both in my own country and abroad. At the end of the project, I created and mailed out 657 letters over the span of 432 days.

A Letter a Day taught me a lot about perseverance and commitment, and it renewed my passion for letter writing—something that I had always loved as a child but forgotten as I got older. While I may not be able to write a letter a day, I plan to write many more letters into the future, and I'll have my trusty log book with me.

My intentions were well meaning to keep this log book neat.
